![]() Halo 1 on PC was modded so heavily they eventually released Halo: Custom Edition along with a devkit (free for Halo 1 owners) which allowed modders to do so much more. I don't know how old you are, but I expected nothing less. Wave based survival is almost non-existent outside of FPS, prime example being Killing Floor, and the only Line Defense spin on the genre I even know of is called Mann vs Machine (Probably because it's so closely related to TD).Īnd so on and so forth, and then there's stuff like Pudge Wars, Tag, PimpMy and Sheep vs Rabbits and others that take much smaller time investment to understand that could just as easily see something like small indie title designed after them if not even a mobile game. TD's as a whole need to be explored in the many differing multilayer options and no one is doing it. Vampirism/Trolls and Elves needs a more structured progression and more forgiving game start, but it could definitely become a thing. TTT already covered the Werewolf gameplay, and online versions like Epic Mafia exist, but there's no standalone game of the sort. Single Player Survival Kids/Lost in Blue can be rather boring, but Island Trolls was a blast, and Konami definitely never did a polished title with the concept - at least loads of games with that type of gameplay are being explored but they're missing the building and every single one has Zombies in it (Think dayZ). There are also a lot of other ideas there waiting for the taking. Bloodline Champions' genre existed as several maps already before it came out. Warcraft III helped codify entire game modes seen on other existing games.
